New Tribal trouble

I'm 15, soon to be 16. I think all of us are more than old enough to handle helping out with this project. I intend on seeing TT revived.

If this does get rebuilt, would changing the name and giving the game a newer more modern look be possible? Tribal Trouble sounds quite childish and really is a much more complex game than it first appears. There are very few, actually non now that I think of it.. Other war strategy games that are as simple yet as diverse as TT. Age of empires, Starcraft etc. are great at first but get boring because they take toooo damn long. Where as TT shares very similar stratigic components (simpler) yet games last for litterally minutes.

I know most of you's know this already, but what I think really needs to change is the name and the image of TT. It doesn't represent the nature of the game at all (as well as the stupid tutorial/campaign).

So perhaps asking Sune if we can construct a new imagine to give TT if possible? And then we could spend some time doing minor advertising or something to see it's growth maybe, idk just random ideas

Deathy, first of all, that would require partnering with Oddlabs or buying the game rights. If you want the game to continue making money, it's a LOT more work than just letting the userbase (us) take care of maintaining it and keeping it alive without actually making any money off of it. The game is incredibly promising, and if you have conceptual ideas for name and modernization changes, we're all ears! I'm mostly on the technical side and planning side of the game. Coding, and such. Rewriting the game won't ACTUALLY be that hard, althuogh it's huge. It's certainly not as insurmountable a task as EPIC and I once thought, especially what with out determination and interest and free time.

Also, the rewrite wouldn't be as dramatic or drastic as people seem to think. It would also be a gradual process.

Also, deathy. You have a pretty successful youtube channel, am i wrong? Wouldn't it be a good idea (if all this goes ahead) to make a video or two showing the game of to bring in a bigger community?

I'm actually starting to learn how to use blender. I'm not an expert at it, but most the of the stuff seems really low poly. Unfortunately I have no idea how I'd get them into the game or even how to texture very well.

I'm 14, but I'm decent with computers and I'd gladly help in any way possible with this if it goes through.

LAN Tribal Trouble has been done. It wouldn't be very clean, though.

Yeah unfortunately our only option is community reboots, which so far have either been abandoned or just faded away. I still have hope for when I'm more proficient at computer programming though, TT will never be truly dead in my mind

There is the option of contacting the other members of oddlabs to see what we can come up with. Sune wasn't the main developer. I want to find out who is and get into discussion with him about what we need to revive the game. GameSamba may know who he was, they talked to him!
